oops! Im wrong about Dokic. She did extremely well but lost to the Russian third seed Dinara Safina in three sets. 4-6 6-4 4-6 Lets hope she does even better next time.
Serena Williams wins the womens singles title at the Australian Open for the fourth time. This makes her the new world no. 1 after dismissing Russian Dinara Safina in under one hour. ( 6-0 6-3). Congratulation Serena.
Rafael Nadal has stopped Roger Federer from equaling Pete Sampras' recprd pf fourteen grand slams in a n epic five setter which went for five hours. Congratulations to Rafa and anyone else who thought he would win.
